About
Originally from Brussels, Belgium, I was raised in a multilingual, multicultural household by a Franco-Belgian father and a British mother. In 2006, I relocated to Portland, Oregon, where I attended Lincoln High School before taking a gap year in 2018 to explore my creative and journalistic interests.
While studying at the University of Oregon, I became deeply engaged in media, storytelling, and social impact. I worked on the Catalyst Solutions Journalism Project, served as a research assistant for the Agora Journalism Center on a case study examining news ecosystems in Southern Oregon, and directed the News Department at KWVA 88.1 FM. I was also selected as a Research Fellow with the Crossings Institute for Conflict-Sensitive Reporting and Intercultural Dialogue, where I reported on UNESCO’s World Press Freedom Day in New York, Santiago (Chile), and Brussels.
Following my undergraduate work, I earned a Director’s Certificate from the London Film Academy and worked as a production assistant with Belgian production company Tanker on a commercial for Famous Amos Cookies. I also served as a location manager and PA for a music video by London-based rapper Jianbo.
In the summer of 2024, I joined KBOO 90.7 FM in Portland as a radio DJ before relocating to Madrid, Spain. I am currently completing No Quiet Hours, a feature-length documentary on the DIY music scenes of Eugene and Portland, Oregon. Alongside this, I am developing a mobile app for exiled journalists and refugees in the UK, DJing for Brixton Radio in London, and beginning production on a new documentary focused on the National Syrian Orchestra and their historic 2016 Glastonbury performance with Gorillaz.
